Colindale businesses

Who we look after
in Colindale.

Colindale has changed enormously — a lot of new-build offices and mixed-use space alongside the established trade and light-industrial units around Capitol Way and the Edgware Road. We work with both, and the two have very different problems.

New buildings tend to arrive with somebody else's cabling assumptions, shared risers, a landlord's broadband deal that may or may not suit you, and no comms room worth the name. Getting a fit-out right at the start saves a remarkable amount of grief later, and we'd rather be involved before the desks go in than after.

The older units are the opposite problem: cabling that's accumulated over fifteen years, a switch on a shelf, and WiFi doing its best through a brick wall. Both are fixable. Both need someone willing to look at the physical layer, not just the software.

Common questions
We're fitting out a new office. Can you get involved early?

Please do ask us early — it's much cheaper than fixing it afterwards. Cabling runs, where the comms cabinet goes, how many points per desk, WiFi coverage and what internet the building can actually get are all decisions that are hard to undo once you've moved in.

The landlord provides broadband. Should we just use that?

Sometimes it's fine, often it isn't — shared building connections can be contended, and you have no control over the fault process. We'd check what it actually delivers before you rely on it for phones and cloud systems.
