How we install

Half the disasters we get called into could have been avoided by an hour of site survey before the kit was ordered.

STEP 01

Survey

On site for half a day. Walk the building, map the existing kit, mark where the WiFi points should go, sketch the cabling. Signal map where useful.

STEP 02

Design

A drawing of the new network, a kit list, a cabling plan and a fixed-price quote. You sign off the document before anyone orders anything.

STEP 03

Install

Outside your working hours where possible. New kit installed, cabled and set up to the plan — running alongside the old kit until we switch over.

STEP 04

Handover

Everything written down, monitoring switched on, your team shown the new WiFi. A 30-day "anything weird?" support window.

Pricing

Projects at a fixed price,
support after.

Network and server projects are quoted at a fixed price against the signed-off plan. Ongoing watching and support folds into our standard IT support pricing.

Half-day site survey, kit check and written report. Credited back against the install if you go ahead. As a guide: small office WiFi from £2,500; server replacement from £4,500; full network refresh from £8,000.

What brands do you install?

Trusted, dependable brands — the kind still going strong in five years. We have our favourites (Ubiquiti for WiFi, with Cisco and Meraki where the job calls for it), but the rule is always the same: boring, dependable kit — not the cheapest, not the trendiest.

Do you do the cabling too?

Yes — we install the cable, the connections and the cabinet. For bigger jobs (multiple floors, fibre runs, ceiling work) we use a vetted cabling contractor we've worked with for years. Either way, the work is managed by us.

A server in the office, or the cloud?

Honestly, it depends. For steady file storage and a few business programs, a server in the office is often cheaper over five years. For fast-growing businesses, or needs that go up and down, the cloud is right. We cost both honestly — including the things people forget, like electricity and replacement cycles — and let you choose.

How long does a WiFi install take?

From survey to live, usually two to three weeks. Kit usually arrives within days. The install itself is normally a single weekend or an evening for a typical office. Larger or multi-site jobs take longer.

Will you take over an existing setup?

Usually yes. We'll check over what's there — what needs replacing, what's fine to keep — and offer either a partial refresh or a full redesign. Plenty of customers come to us with kit we'd never have chosen, and we work with what's there.
